<description>What a coincidence. I discovered blogspot yesterday when I found an old helicopter acquaintance on a helicopter website. I like what I see there as well, so I might just be following you. Bob Barbanes is a good writer if you want to check out his blog.

<description>I for one would be happy if you migrated to Blogger. I find the flashing ads (often accompanied by LOUD audio) to be super-annoying. I typically read Friendster blogs in Bloglines (without clicking through to the blog) for that very reason. It's disturbing to read a thoughtful, meditative post and then see an ad asking "Who's legs are these" next to Jessica Simpson in her Daisy Dukes.

Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Because I don't often click-through to Friendster blogs, I also don't comment on them frequently. ALthough I have a Friendster account to allow me to comment, it's a real pain to do it. Every time I try to comment, I need to log in even though I've clicked the "remember my login" box. After I've logged in, the interface never brings you back to the blog you were reading, so you have to go to wherever you have the blog bookmarked, follow the link, etc.

Commenting on Blogspot sites is much easier since Blogger actually remembers my login. And there aren't flashing ads with invasive audio.

Okay, rant over... ;-)
